Bench sponsors
There will be 20 handmade benches on the new jetty - we plan to make these out of reclaimed jetty timber. Those who have donated $10,000 or more can choose to have their name on one of these benches, until we run out.
This is a special way to remember a loved one, let people about your business, or have a family bench that will be there for generations.
The bench designs will be finalised once we have the reclaimed jetty timber. We’ll talk to the bench sponsors about their bench and recognition.
“$10,000 for a bench?!!” you might ask. You are not actually buying a bench. You are helping pay for the rebuild of the jetty - without the jetty, there are no benches over the water. We reckon such a large donation deserves special recognition, hence we will put your name (or name of your choice) on one of the benches. Once we have run out of benches, we’ll have to think of another way of recognising large donations.
