Renzie Hanham
Renzie Hanham is a well-established graphic designer and illustrator and for the last 50 years has worked as freelance designer/illustrator. He has designed and illustrated numerous books, logos, brochures, and annual reports.
Renzie has been an art director for an ad agency and was a judge at the New York Art Directors Club International Awards in New York.
He is also a singer/songwriter, having released 4 albums and was a finalist in the Tamworth songwriting competition.
For 63 years, Renzie has been heavily involved in the martial arts. A black belt in Judo and an 8th dan in Seido Karate, one of only two in the world. Renzie represented New Zealand, was the NZ Kyokushinkai middleweight champion and has trained and taught in Japan, USA, UK, Italy, and Australia.
Renzie also works as a mental skills coach and has worked with the All Blacks, Crusaders, and Canterbury rugby teams, the English Rugby Union, NZ and Dutch Triathlon and the Silver Ferns. Has worked with numerous national and world champions in a variety of sports. He attended the Sydney Olympics with the NZ Triathlon team as mental skills coach.
Renzie’s work has also has involved the military, corporates plus numerous overseas clients.
He currently consults for Lincoln University’s sports scholarship programme.
He is a director of an international company - Gazing performance based in the UK.
